Drawing inspiration from this, the creators of a neuromorphic chip named SpiNNaker 2 have designed it to be highly efficient. Low energy consumption is crucial for supercomputers used in artificial intelligence. The Dresden-based firm Spinncloud is now beginning to distribute this chip globally.(EE Times).
